EYELASH PRE-TREATMENT INFORMATION SHEET

• On your first visit to our studio, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow for registration and initial consultation.
• On return visits, we ask you to arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
• Before the application of eyelash extensions, all contact lenses should be removed.
• Eyes must be free of makeup and face creams if possible. Especially mascara. Before the application of lash extensions, ALL makeup should be removed as it causes poor lash retention if not removed properly. It is important to note that removing make-up can take a lot of time, so it would have to be subtracted from the initial appointment if you arrived exactly on time. If you are wearing makeup, we ask you to arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment and ask for cleansing pads. It is expected that you remove your makeup due to a busy schedule or since your lash therapist might be busy with a customer before your appointment.  This will avoid any delay in your service. The oil found in many facial creams/sunblock prevents the eyelash adhesive from bonding to the natural lash and reduces the longevity of your extensions.
• For a full set of lashes, you will need to lie down for 1 – 2.5 hours. Please plan accordingly. (Attend to the ladies before the treatment starts too).
• In the case of known allergies or any skin sensitivities, a patch test must be performed 48 hours before applying false lashes.  To schedule a patch test, please inform Splash Nail and Beauty by email at splashnailandbeauty@gmail.com.
• Please silence your phone while extensions are being applied. Talking during the treatment can be difficult for your lash therapist and lash application requires precision.  Therefore, we encourage lash naps. Lash naps are the best!

Note: No work is done on other salons’ lashes

• At Splash Nail and Beauty, we pride ourselves on providing the highest quality of products to our customers. We want to ensure every customer gets the quality and the complete look from the start. With that in mind we do not fill lash extensions done elsewhere. We do offer removals that are packaged with a full (new) set.

REGULAR MAINTENANCE

Eyelashes grow out in a continuous cycle; it is for this reason that lashes should be filled every two weeks to maintain their lusciousness. The eyelash-fill fee depends on the brand you have selected. If you are overdue (4 weeks) then you will have to redo the application at the full price (including to complete a lash removal at times).

Useful Hints:

• Tinting & Lash Lifting – As new eyelashes are lighter and thus clearly visible, an eyelash tint on the natural eyelashes will make the extension application process easier for the lash therapist and the overall result more appealing.  This must be done 48 hours before the application and will result in a fuller look.  If your lashes point downward or straight, it is advised that you do a lash lift first.  Making this adjustment will make applying the lash extensions easier, and your lashes will appear healthier and create an open eye look as a result.

• Growth Serums – During the extension process, it is recommended to use a growth serum on your natural lashes if they are not as healthy or long as they can be.  Adding a growth serum, the natural hairs will be nourished, and vitamins and minerals are typically added to them.

Contra-indications

Should you experience discomfort, irritation, or a burning sensation during your lash treatment, we must stop adding the extensions and remove them. If you do not feel almost an immediate relief then it is recommended that you see a physician (at your own expense).

EYELASH EXTENSIONS AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

The following three rules are golden:

• No water, steam, or anything else touching the lashes for 24 hours.
• While wearing extensions, no oil-based products may come into contact with them.
• Eyelash extensions should not be pulled or picked at.

Lash Aftercare: 

Lash extensions require a 24-hour curing period; the following rules must be adhered to:

• Do not allow any water or steam to come into contact with your new beautiful lashes for 24 hours.  During this time, the adhesive will fully cure and dry.
• Do not let any oil come into contact with the lashes as this will cause them to separate, including makeup removers, facial cleansers, moisturisers, and products that contain petroleum. Ensure that all products used on the eyelashes are oil-free as the bonding agent is oil-based, and if it comes into contact with other oils, it will dissolve, separating the extension from the natural lash.
• Do not pull or pick at your lashes; not only will this shorten the lifespan of your eyelash extensions, but you will damage your natural lashes too.
• Contact Splash Nail and Beauty’s lash therapist should you encounter any problems so that professional advice and steps or home care can be provided.
• Remember that even though the 24hr period has lapsed, excessive exposure to steam or heat can debond your lashes. Therefore, try to limit your steam room and sauna visits.
• Always remember that the less you touch your lashes the longer they will last. You do, however, need to keep them clean.  Avoiding proper hygiene can result in infection whether wearing lashes or not and the make-up particles, dirt and debris will also start to de-bond your lashes over time. – keep your eye area clean.  You can purchase a soft brush -and lash and make-up cleanser from Splash Nail and Beauty.
• While drying your lashes, do not rub, instead, blot/dab your face, and apply gentle pressure to your closed eyes. Allow the lashes to dry naturally.
• Brush your lashes daily with a clean mascara wand which will be provided to you by your lash therapist.
• Avoid using mascara while wearing lashes. This will cause your adhesive to de-bond.
• Try to start sleeping on your back to avoid crushing your lashes (in the corners).  This will also benefit your skin.
• To maintain the health and luscious look of the lashes we recommend 2-week maintenance treatments (fills)
• The longer & healthier your natural lashes are, the longer we can extend them, the maximum being 30%.

CANCELLATION, RE-DO AND REFUND POLICY 

• Your appointments are very important to us at Splash Nail and Beauty, it is time reserved especially for you. We understand that sometimes it would be necessary to adjust times, therefore we respectfully request at least 24 business hours’ notice for cancellations.  Since the service is reserved for you, a cancellation fee will apply.
• Less than 24 business hour notice will result in a charge equal to 50% of the reserved service amount.
• “NO SHOWS” will be charged 100% of the reserved service amount.
• As a courtesy we will send a SMS as a reminder, however not receiving a reminder SMS will not be a valid reason for cancelling or not showing. Please understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times to avoid late arrivals, missed appointments and cancellation fees.
• Appointments made within 24 hours and want to cancel will be allowed to cancel within 4 hours of the appointment time or will result in a charge equal to 50% of the reserved service amount.
• More than 15 minutes late to your appointment, we cannot guarantee complete satisfaction with your result.  Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late will most likely be rescheduled and charged the full service amount and regarded as a No Show. We need to accommodate others who have appointments that follow yours.
• Due to a history of late arrivals, short notice cancellations and no shows a booking fee of 50% can be requested for confirmation. If you Due to this policy, we require a valid credit/debit card at the time of scheduling your appointment to hold your reserved appointment time.
• In the event of a customer who contacts Splash Nail and Beauty with a complaint, quality photographs must please accompany the complaint so that management together with the lash therapist can discuss the problem and ensure that the customer receives the best possible outcome.   In accordance with the availability of the lash therapist, the customer will be contacted to receive proposed date and time slots for when the lashe need to be examined at the salon.  The verdict of the outcomes will be determined during this appointment.  No full re-do including soak-off lashes and redo will be done without this appointment.
• No refunds. If the lash therapist is at fault, Splash Nail and Beauty will provide a suitable date and time for redoing/fixing the eyelashes. Should the customer decline this option, a voucher for a future (other) treatment will be given.

• The Cancellation Policy allows us to provide the highest quality of service for each of our customers.  We appreciate your business so we want to offer you the most we can in your scheduled appointment.
