Permanent Make-up & Microblading

Are you looking forward to waking up to perfect eyeliner, brows, or lips at the start of every day?

Brow Services

Nanobrows, Ombré/Shaded/Powder Brows or Microblading

Nanobrows

  • Elevate your brow game with Nanobrows, a technique designed for a soft, feathered look, achieving hyper-realistic eyebrows that seamlessly mimic natural hair growth.
  • Employing cutting-edge technology, a digital device, and a precise cartridge ensures the superficial deposition of pigment, minimising trauma to the skin.
  • This technique’s softer approach distinguishes it from traditional methods, making it ideal for those with sparse, fine, or very light brow hairs.
  • Particularly beneficial for sensitive individuals, alopecia patients, cancer survivors, and those desiring a natural and undefined “make-up” look.

CANDIDATES NOT SUITABLE FOR NANOBROWS:

  • Fitzpatrick skin type 6
  • Clients with thick and coarse natural hair
  • Clients seeking a perfectly defined symmetrical look
  • Clients with oily skin
  • Mature clients with thin, wrinkled skin
  • Clients wearing a full face of makeup daily

Ombré/Shaded/Powder Brows

  • Embark on a journey to a more defined and dramatic brow look with the Shaded Brows technique.
  • An intricate process involves a machine meticulously inserting pigment through thousands of filled dots, creating a soft ombré/powdered look with longer-lasting and more permanent results.
  • This traditional method, refined over the years, achieves a natural and softly defined appearance.
  • Colour is gradually built up to your preference
  • Brow shading is versatile, catering to most skin types & tones, especially recommended for those with mature skin, Fitzpatrick skin type 6, or requiring colour correction over old microbladed brows.

Microblading

  • Impeccably natural-looking brows with precision, utilising a hand-held tool.
  • Implanted pigment in meticulously crafted hair-like strokes, replacing individual hairs for a nuanced effect.
  • A semi-permanent option, requiring touch-ups every 1-3 years for sustained perfection.
  • While exceptionally transformative, microblading may be less effective on oily/combination and mature skin.
  • Ideally suited for individuals with thin/patchy brows seeking subtle yet enhancing shape adjustments.

PRE- AND POST-TREATMENT ADVICE

  • Do not take any medications prior to your procedure.
  • Stop taking all supplements at least 3 days before the procedure.
  • Very important: Stop taking Vitamin E and/or Omega Supplements one week before. (These can cause excessive bruising.)
  • Do not use Aspirin, Ibuprofen (Advil), or Codeine medication 3 days prior to the procedure. (Consult your doctor first.)
  • Eat well before the procedure and before entering the salon
  • Do not drink alcohol from the night before your procedure and no coffee or exercise stimulants with caffeine (e.g. BioPlus) the morning of the procedure.
  • Do not wear any make-up (or mascara). Make-up contains a lot of bacteria and cause infection if it had to go into the op skin/lip area.
  • If you have a specific colour/shape for the desired look, bring your make-up or a photo of you with your make-up on with you. Alternatively, bring a realistic photograph of your desired look, e.g. the same skin tone).

Eyeliner procedure:

  • Eyelash extensions should be removed before having your eyeliner or lash enhancements done. They can be re-applied once the area is fully healed.
  • Do not wear contact lenses as you will not be able to wear them for 48 hours.
  • Bring your prescription sunglasses or sunglasses with you.

Eyebrow procedures:

  • Do not tweeze, wax, or have electrolysis or get sunburned for one week prior to the procedure.

Lip liner/full lips:

  • Do not tweeze, wax, or have electrolysis or get sunburned for one week prior to the procedure.
  • Lip liner and full lip clients who are prone to fever blisters (cold sores), etc. are required to take Anti-Viral (Herpes Simplex) medication and ointment, 3 days prior to the appointment. This needs to be prescribed by your doctor for a minimum of 3-5 days.
  • Bring your favourite lipstick to determine the shades you like.

POST-PROCEDURE PROTECTIVE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Your skin may look red and slightly swollen for a few days. It should return to normal within two to three days. It is therefore advisable not to make any social plans for the healing time.
  • Avoid infection by washing your hands regularly, especially before touching the area worked on.
  • Do not allow children or pets to come into contact with the Permanent Make-up for the next two months.
  • You may apply a cold compress to the area to help reduce swelling and discomfort.
  • For the next 14 days following your procedure:
    • DO NOT go into the sun, swimming pool or ocean (can cause hyperpigmentation).
    • DO NOT apply ANY make up to the area. Make-up contains a lot of bacteria (can cause serious infection).
    • DO NOT apply any cleaning soaps or creams. Avoid soaking the area with soaps and only pat dry with a paper towel.
  • It is important to remember that the colour will appear extremely dark for a week. It will flake and/or scab a little and can settle 30% up-to-50% (lips) lighter once healed.  Therefore, your touch-up is extremely important.
  • DO NOT PICK AT THE SCABS!!! This will cause you to scar and lose the pigment.
  • Apply a thin layer of the ointment supplied several times a day with a cotton bud (keep the area moisturised). This prevents the area from getting infected, drying out and “cracking”. Do not apply Vaseline to the area, rather contact your therapist for alternative solutions should you run out of healing ointment.
  • If you had a lip procedure done, continue using your Anti-Herpes creams and medication as prescribed.
  • Be aware that ethnic lips (Indian, African, Asian) can sometimes hyper-pigment (turn very dark) due to the “trauma” inflicted during the procedure.
  • Do not touch the treated area. You can only wash (softly) with lukewarm water and a cotton eye pad to avoid infection.
